Graduates have in-depth theoretical knowledge of key areas related to the description of human speech and sound patterns of Czech; in the area of the dissertation, they are very well acquainted with the current state-of-the-art, which includes the knowledge of both primary and secondary sources. They are able to reflect on their branch of study against the background of general linguistic description of language. Graduates are able to pursue professional scientific work at an international level and make use of tools for phonetic analysis and statistical data processing, corresponding to their area of expertise. The doctoral program allows graduates to work as researchers and university teachers, or in a specific area related to their dissertation.

A completed Master s degree in a related field of study, an official transcript of records from your previous university studies, an official translation of the two above into Czech (translation is not required if the original documents were issued in English), a certificate of equivalence from Czech educational authorities which states that your certificate/diploma is recognised in the Czech Republic (called nostrification ), if you completed your previous education abroad, TOEFL ibT of 80, IELTS of 6.5, IB English 6, Melab 77, TOEIC 605
