Applied geology with a focus on geology, engineering geology, hydrogeology, applied geophysics, geology and geochemistry of the environment deals with the study and utilization of the rock environment and environmental protection. A graduate of the Applied Geology Ph.D. program has acquired deep knowledge in field of engineering geology focused on theoretical and experimental soil and rock mechanics as well as geotechnical mathematical modeling, in field of hydrogeology focused on use and protection of ground water resources, in field of applied geophysics with special interest on mathematical models of physical fields, in field of economic geology focused on the genesis of raw mineral material including prospecting, exploration and evaluation as well as problems of reclamation of abandoned mines, and in field of environmental geology and geochemistry.
A completed Master s degree in a related field of study, an official transcript of records from your previous university studies, an official translation of the two above into Czech (translation is not required if the original documents were issued in English), a certificate of equivalence from Czech educational authorities which states that your certificate/diploma is recognised in the Czech Republic (called nostrification ), if you completed your previous education abroad, TOEFL ibT of 80, IELTS of 6.5, IB English 6, Melab 77, TOEIC 605
