Program Overview

Graduates have a sound grounding in research methods in the humanities, especially in the study of relationships between languages / cultures; knowledge of information sources and ability to assess their relevance to the pair of languages / cultures of their choice; and grounding in the theoretical concepts of translation and interpreting, and the ability to apply them to the analysis of translation / market and procedures. They are equipped to produce and edit extensive scientific texts and to evaluate the quality of writings in translation and interpreting studies.

A completed Master s degree in a related field of study, an official transcript of records from your previous university studies, an official translation of the two above into Czech (translation is not required if the original documents were issued in English), a certificate of equivalence from Czech educational authorities which states that your certificate/diploma is recognised in the Czech Republic (called nostrification ), if you completed your previous education abroad, TOEFL ibT of 80, IELTS of 6.5, IB English 6, Melab 77, TOEIC 605
