Program Overview

Graduates have been trained for independent scientific work, gaining an understanding of the literary studies methodology and becoming acquainted with the development of concepts in literary studies. They are specialists in one particular national literature while having a knowledge of other European literatures. Equipped with excellent skills in analytical thinking and judging, graduates are able to produce scientific texts as well as texts presenting information to the general public, texts for the media and for popularization purposes. Graduates have had experience with speaking at scientific conferences and taking part in scientific debate. Moreover, they have had teaching experience.

A completed Master s degree in a related field of study, an official transcript of records from your previous university studies, an official translation of the two above into Czech (translation is not required if the original documents were issued in English), a certificate of equivalence from Czech educational authorities which states that your certificate/diploma is recognised in the Czech Republic (called nostrification ), if you completed your previous education abroad, TOEFL ibT of 80, IELTS of 6.5, IB English 6, Melab 77, TOEIC 605
