Biomedical Informatics encompasses all areas of informatics in biomedicine (ie, medical informatics, medical informatics, medical informatics, and bioinformatics) and is an independent interdisciplinary discipline with its own curriculum at both Western European universities and the US, as well as other countries (eg Canada, Brazil , Australia).
