4 Years On Campus Phd Program

Charles University

Program Overview

Otorhinolaryngology is one of the basic biomedical disciplines that deals with both diagnosis and conservative treatment of ear, nose and throat diseases. The basic discipline is very dynamic and includes both classical and emerging subspecializations such as audiology, phoniatrics, vestibulology or otoneurology, sleep medicine, photomedicine, laser head and neck surgery, and others. Otorhinolaryngological issues are often solved in collaboration with disciplines related to neurosurgery, ophthalmology, facial surgery, dentistry and others. Research tasks in ENT therefore extend beyond these border areas. The aim of postgraduate study of otorhinolaryngology is to broaden and deepen the knowledge of PhD students not only in the basic branch of ENT but also in the fields of relatives (borderline).
