Doctoral in Social Medicine

Over the past decades, social medicine has evolved into a modern medical discipline that deals with the management and effectiveness of the newly transformed health sector, ethics in health and social decision-making processes, the development of population health, and the provision and organization of health and social care. It identifies and evaluates socio-economic determinants of health, strives to influence inequalities in health and to protect and support vulnerable groups of the population, especially people with disabilities, from minority groups, children, seniors, which leads to overall population recovery.
