The study is focused on research and development of qualitative and quantitative analysis of various forms of imaging, used both in experiment and in clinical medicine (especially in radiology). These are methods that process physical sources of signals and biosignals in image creation , as well as their analysis, processing, and data interpretation. The participation of experts from FEE CTU enables complex and interdisciplinary research work.

Radiology deals with diagnostic and therapeutic use of imaging methods. It works closely with all basic clinical disciplines. Graduate of the doctoral study program in the field of radiology will acquire scientific erudition on the basis of a combination of theoretical study, clinical work and solution of a specific research task during the study. Graduates of the doctoral study program of imaging methods in medicine will acquire theoretical and practical erudition in the field of imaging methods in medicine during their studies in addition to scientific and research erudition. After completing their studies, they can pursue clinical activities and continue research. They can also be employed as university teachers.
