In the program, students are trained in all directions and specializations in Biochemistry such as bioenergy, enzymology, molecular biology, protein chemistry and structure, immunochemistry, xenobiochemistry (biochemistry of foreign substances), chemical and cellular bases of metabolic processes and the like. Students' training takes place in the form of participation in grant research projects, especially at the Department of Biochemistry, Charles University, and also in joint and cooperating workplaces located mainly in research institutes of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, but also in departmental and corporate research laboratories.
