Program Overview

The study program provides advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of the physics of surfaces, interfaces, and thin films, the areas underpinning current nanotechnology. It includes the study of surface processes and structures at atomic level using a wide range of experimental techniques for surface representation and surface analysis. The study also includes boundary disciplines related to chemical reactivity of surfaces (catalysis, electrochemistry, surface synthesis). The program prepares professionals with a broad foundation in mathematics and physics and with deep knowledge of surface physics and thin films.

A completed Master s degree in a related field of study, an official transcript of records from your previous university studies, an official translation of the two above into Czech (translation is not required if the original documents were issued in English), a certificate of equivalence from Czech educational authorities which states that your certificate/diploma is recognised in the Czech Republic (called nostrification ), if you completed your previous education abroad, TOEFL ibT of 80, IELTS of 6.5, IB English 6, Melab 77, TOEIC 605
