The philosophy of natural sciences explores the ideas behind the understanding of both living and inanimate nature, as well as the basis of scientific research, forming a paradigm of that natural science in a historical epoch. The history of each science gives a concrete picture of paradigm patterns throughout cultural history. The branch is designed for graduates of the Faculty of Science, Faculty of Philosophy. A graduate of the doctoral study program in Philosophy and History of Natural Science possesses extensive knowledge in the field of philosophical and methodological foundations of scientific disciplines (primarily biology), as well as thorough familiarity with their history.

A completed Master s degree in a related field of study, an official transcript of records from your previous university studies, an official translation of the two above into Czech (translation is not required if the original documents were issued in English), a certificate of equivalence from Czech educational authorities which states that your certificate/diploma is recognised in the Czech Republic (called nostrification ), if you completed your previous education abroad, TOEFL ibT of 80, IELTS of 6.5, IB English 6, Melab 77, TOEIC 605
