The field is focused on physical anthropology and biology, genetics, ecology and human ethology. He deals mainly with ontogenetic and phylogenetic development of humans, evolution and morphological variability of population, ethnicity and ethnogenesis, study of growth and its disorders, composition of the human body and nutrition, biological properties at different levels of bioorganization and their inheritance, the influence of environmental factors on man and his behavior. Molecular genetic studies include analyzes of receptor genes and genetic polymorphisms in the variable regions of human chromosomes. Applied specializations represent forensic, clinical, functional and ergonomic anthropology. Skeletal and dental anthropology occupies a specific position.
