The specialization is focused on the whole range of physical geography: It develops individual basic scientific disciplines that study sub-systems of the landscape sphere: Geomorphology and paleogeography of Quaternary, climatology and meteorology, hydrology, biogeography, pedogeography and geoecology. It deals with the synthesis of geographical environment provided by complex physical geography. In addition to the relations between the natural components of the geographical environment, it also deals with the interactions of the physical-geographic and socio-economic spheres."
