Creative and productive enquiry is the basic concept underlying the research work. In order to overcome any deficiency in the breadth of fundamental training or proper foundation for advanced work, special preliminary or pre-Ph.D. courses are given by each Department/Centre/School.

Master degree in Engineering /Technology or master degree in Science /Humanities or equivalent in relevant discipline with CGPA 6.00 on 10 point scale or 60% marks in aggregate; Copies of the qualification documents; Copy of the passport and visa; Original Medical Fitness Certificate; Original HIV Report ; Three passport size photographs; Copy of the offer letter issued by the Institute; Student visa for a period of five years.
