The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi History

The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, also known as IIT Delhi was previously known as College of Engineering. It was founded in the year 1961 as a public engineering institute by Humayun Kabir, Minister of Scientific Research & Cultural Affairs. The institute is located in the upmarket locality of Hauz Khas in New Delhi, India.

The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi offers graduate, postgraduate, and doctoral level courses for students across 15 departments such as Applied Mechanics, Humanities and Social Sciences, Textile Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, and Biotechnology to name a few.
