PhD Media and Governance

The Doctoral Program focuses on research and thesis writing.Students pursuing the Doctoral Program are expected to draft a workable research plan which they develop with the help of a "Research Advisory Group". The Research Advisory Group primarily consists of faculty members of the Graduate School of Media and Governance who teach research methodology to students and direct their thesis writing. In principle, students pursuing their Doctoral Program must complete all the required lecture courses while they are in the Master's Program. This implies that when students are still in the Master's Program, they participate in research projects and are trained to become career professionals, and when such students enter the Doctoral Program, they are ready to write their own research proposals and conduct independent research.
