Program Overview

You will prepare and submit a portfolio of original and varied pieces of composition. These can include orchestral work, work using vocal, keyboard or ensemble resources, music theatre or sonic work, or a combination. You will also prepare a closely linked written thesis. Your thesis will make an original contribution to the field of knowledge relating to music composition, and show an ability to articulate critical judgement and theory, while demonstrating a knowledge of the relevant literature.
