The PhD programme in Biodiversity is a third-cycle programme organised jointly by the University of Barcelona and the Universitat Aut noma de Barcelona, with contributions from researchers at other institutions and research centres. It offers high-quality training in science research and qualifies its graduates to join the most prestigious institutions involved in biodiversity research and management. The programme trains up researchers who specialise in the origin, maintenance, evolution, applications and sustainable use of biological diversity, and who can go on to work in universities, research institutions, and management centres, both public and private. Students on the programme have the opportunity to work alongside renowned specialists in fields that the universities and other institutions involved currently consider a priority.
