Program Overview

The PhD in Neurosciences was introduced in 1986 as an initiative by a group of lecturers and researchers at the UAB involved in the study of the nervous system. From the start it has been a programme involving a range of lecturers and researchers from different departments and faculties, most of whom are members of the Institute of Neurosciences, the administrating centre for this programme. The PhD in Neurosciences welcomes mainly graduates in biology, biochemistry, medicine, psychology, veterinary medicine and other students from related fields interested in researching for a PhD.
