Program Overview

The PhD in Pharmacology is aimed at training researchers, with an emphasis on the research methodology and techniques that culminate in the writing of a doctoral thesis. The aim of this programme is to consolidate the diversity of focuses and approaches that exist in basic and applied research to create a rich intellectual atmosphere that is a necessary condition for guaranteeing the quality of doctoral research. Research which, on the other hand, is almost exclusive nationally since there a very few PhD programmes offering specific training in pharmacology from both a basic and a clinical viewpoint. The programme has the collaboration of more than 40 public institutions and as many more private organisations, mainly in the pharmaceutical sector.
