"At present, the relationship between both sciences is providing new and important perspectives both to themselves and in their projection towards other sciences.In this sense, their role is becoming increasingly relevant in nearby fields and currently subject to an interesting evolution as is the case of Ecology, Developmental Biology, Mathematical Engineering, Astronomy, Economics, Medicine or Telecommunications. Sometimes this interaction has been expressed in a somewhat exaggerated way when stating, for example, that ""the future of Biology or Biomedicine is the interaction with Mathematics and Physics"". One of the purposes of this program is to empower and provide the necessary foundations to connect with these work areas."
