This doctorate program prepares professionals to become leaders who are able to discover and disseminate new knowledge in the allied health sciences. The PhD in Allied Health Sciences program will provide you with the skills to teach, practice and perform research so as to advance the science and practice of health care. You will have research skills that integrate the biological, behavioral, educational and clinical sciences. You will be able to participate in research to improve quality, access and cost of health care and related services for patients. You will also have the leadership skills necessary to serve as a senior level professional in your allied health discipline, influencing health care systems and policy.
