3 Years On Campus Phd Program

National Cheng Kung University

Program Overview

The objectives of DMI are to educate students about the basic knowledge of medical science, fundamental concepts of microbiology and immunology, and their applications in future research or clinical practice. In training scientists at a masters and PhD level, we emphasize communication skills, techniques for self-learning, as well as the discipline of academic ethics. To understand the dynamic and vast body of advanced knowledge in these fields, the Division of Microbiology was established in the Department of Medicine in 1984. The diversity of the cultural experiences of DMI members fosters an academic atmosphere of liberty and mutual respect, which are reflected in the wide spectrum of curricula and team work style. Our students benefit from the multi-disciplinary training and exposure to different academic backgrounds.
