Program Overview

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering introduced the PhDCE Program to provide the opportunity for qualified engineers to advance their career through knowledge and knowledge discovery skills in the modern civil engineering specializations. The Program will enable its students to cover advanced theory and design procedures need to advance to higher level of competency in their profession. The Program is also intended to support the development of quality and relevant research, especially applied research in the various disciplines of Civil Engineering including: structural, geotechnical, environmental, water resources, transportation, pavement, and construction management.

"Certificate equivalence from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Certificates issued from outside the UAE, A certified copy of the applicant's University transcript, A certified copy of the applicant's University Degree , A copy of identity card, passport, Two recommendation letters from professors, Curriculum Vitae,The student must hold a master's degree with a minimum grade of ""Very Good (3.0 out of 4.0) and a bachelor s degree with a minimum grade of 2.5 out of 4.0 or equivalent from a university, college, or an institute recognized by the Ministry of Education of the UAE. 550 on the TOEFL (PBT) (should be taken inside the university), 79 on the TOEFL (IBT) (outside the university) or 6 on IELTS (Academic). "
