PhD in Computer Science is a three-year programme in School of Computing and Engineering. PhD candidates may select a research topic agreed with supervisors and conduct individual research in one of the School s research groups, where academic staff are investigating the latest technologies in computing, such as sensing, distributed and contextual data analytics, cyber security, sociotechnical design, Internet of Things (IoT), agile software development, and artificial intelligence. The School has close links with leading IT companies and services providers such as Amazon, Oracle, SAS, Heathrow Airport and Vodafone, where the PhD student may conduct industry driven and inspired research projects and gain valuable job opportunities.
Academic transcripts, A personal statement explaining why you are suitable for the course , Two professional and/or academic references, A copy of your passportcopies of any other supporting documents, a good first degree (First Class or Upper Second Class), or equivalent qualification in a relevant field a Masters Degree (MA, MSc, MBA or MRes) with Merit, or equivalent postgraduate or research experience. An IELTS (International English Language Testing System) score of 6.5 (with no element under 6.0).
