Program Overview

The DEdPsy is a three-year professional training doctorate programme that is approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS). Successful completion of the programme enables graduates to register as a Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC and as a Chartered Educational Psychologist with the BPS.

Additional Information & Requirements

A minimum of an upper second-class Bachelor s degree in Psychology from a UK university or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard. Candidates should also have experience of working with children and young people from birth to age 25, across a diverse range of employment contexts. Candidates must hold evidence from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) of suitability to engage in direct work with children. IELTS- standard level overall grade of 6.5 with a minimum of 6 in each of the subjects/good level overall grade of 7 with a minimum of 6.5 in each of the subjects/advanced level overall grade of 7.5 with a minimum of 6.5 in each of the subjects. TOEFL - standard level score of 92 overall with 24/30 in reading and writing and 20/30 in speaking and listening/ good level score of 100 overall with 24/30 in reading and writing and 20/30 in speaking and listening/ advanced level score of 109 overall 24/30 in reading and writing and 20/30 in speaking and listening.
