The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) are higher degrees obtained by research. Both offer an excellent opportunity to study a topic in-depth and at the same time, develop your intellectual, technical and managerial skills. The two courses differ slightly in that research at the MPhil level represents an extension of existing knowledge, while at the PhD level you will be expected to make an original contribution to knowledge.

Competence in written and spoken English is a pre-requisite for entrance to this programme. An IELTS (International English Language Testing System) score of 6.5 (with no element under 6.0).
