Program Overview

The programme requires students to attend nine days of taught classes, aimed at developing advanced research skills. During the course of the programme students will complete the following assignments: a research ethics proposal; systematic review; research project; and critique of a psychometric measure. Students will be required to incorporate this work into a thesis that will be examined via oral examination.

Admissions Application, Honours degree or Masters degree (with either a merit or a distinction) The degree must be in a relevant subject, Valid Health professions Council certificate to demonstrate status as a Forensic Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).(preferable) Certificate demonstrating Chartered Psychologist Status with the British Psychological Society (BPS). A research proposal must be presented with the application. Experience working as a Forensic Psychologist, registered with the Health and Care Professions CouncilTest scores: IELTS/TOEFL/PTE, 7.0 with no less than 6.5 in any band or equivalent.

It is open only to Psychology graduates who are registered with the BPS (GBC status). On completion you are eligible for BPS Chartered Psychology status and full membership of the Division of Forensic Psychology. You will also be eligible to apply for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Forensic Psychologist.
