2 Years On Campus Phd Program
University of Missouri Kansas CityAll students whose major is an orchestral instrument must be enrolled in Conservatory Wind Symphony, Wind Ensemble or Conservatory Orchestra for a minimum of two semesters.A maximum of three semesters of an ensemble can be counted on any D.M.A. planned program of study.Must include three major works of chamber music in the recital component of the degree as determined in consultation with students' applied professor. These works may be performed on one program, or spread among the three recitals.
The applicant must hold B.A. in English, or a B.A. degree that includes at least 30 hours of sophomore-, junior- or senior-level English courses, or the equivalent. 3.0 cumulative grade-point average in undergraduate work and a 3.0 average in undergraduate English coursework. In unusual circumstances, the Graduate Committee may consider applicants with lower grade-point averages.
