Program Overview

The specialization in accountancy is designed to educate future accounting researchers and educators in conceptual and empirical developments and applications. The program encompasses an in-depth study of the different fields in accounting. It has been ranked #41 among the top doctoral programs in Accounting according to the 2018 Public Accounting Report. We admit about two to three students a year. It is our strategy to keep the program compact so that students in residence receive full attention from the faculty. We encourage students to begin their research from day one. Every incoming student will be assigned a faculty mentor for the first year. We promote research collaboration between students and professors. This is evident in the numerous coauthored publications in recent years.
