Program Overview

The mission of the Educational Psychology doctoral program is to provide a broad-based education to doctoral students in two specializations: (1) Quantitative Methods & Educational Policy Analysis, and (2) Learning, Development, and Instruction. Within the discipline of Educational Psychology, these concentrations represent the most important and core areas of the field. Moreover, all students have course requirements in both areas. In accord with our strong research orientation, all students are mentored in the areas of research design, applied statistics, and psychometrics. Students apply these skills in complex urban environments with diverse populations.
