The Science Education concentration is designed to prepare leaders in science education who will shape opportunities for young people to engage in science, develop scientific ways of thinking and acting, and become scientifically literate citizens. We take seriously the potential of scholarly leadership in pedagogy and practice to forge caring, just, and sustainable societies. Our faculty are deeply engaged in outreach efforts, training pre-service teachers, and conducting research across a range of grades and content areas.
