Program Overview

The Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner concentration is designed to prepare the registered nurse with specialized knowledge and skills to provide primary care for children and adolescents. The Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner is prepared to independently diagnose and treat newborns through late adolescence (0-21 years of age), provide comprehensive health assessment, developmentally appropriate health promotion activities, family counseling, and management of commonly encountered acute and chronic illness.
