Students in the astrophysics option may also be required to take Advanced Topics in Astrophysics to ensure an adequate background for their dissertation research.Except for the courses specified above, the remaining regulations concerning coursework, predissertation qualifying exam and dissertation are the same as those prescribed above for the Ph.D. in Physics.
