Established in 1958, the Monash University is a public research university located in Melbourne, Australia. It is second oldest university in the state of Victoria. The university is a member of ASAIHL and Australia’s Group of Eight Universities. Monash has 6 campuses, five of which are located in Victoria (Parkville, Berwick, Clayton, Caulfield and Peninsula) and one in Malaysia. It also operates a research and teaching centre in Italy and two graduate research schools one each in India and China.
The university comprises of 10 Faculties: Faculty of Art Design & Architecture; Faculty of Arts; Faculty of Business and Economics; Faculty of Education; Faculty of Engineering; Faculty of Information Technology; Faculty of Law; Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences; Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences; and Faculty of Science. Apart from the faculties, the Monash College offers pathway studies for students who endeavor to undertake studies at one of Monash's campuses. Monash College offers programs in several countries throughout the world, with colleges located in Australia (Melbourne), China (Guangzhou), Indonesia (Jakarta), Singapore and Sri Lanka (Colombo).
