Opportunity Award

The opportunity award program is awarded by Texas A and M University to the first-year freshmen students. Out of State students, those who receive a competitive scholarship of a minimum dollar amount from Texas A&M University are further eligible to receive a non-resident tuition fee waiver.

Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines:

To be eligible, an applicant:

• Should be a freshmen who has not attended any other college or university.

• Should submit a financial aid application for need-based scholarship.

How to Apply:

• Students must apply using the ApplyTexas Application or the Coalition Application.

Value
The award ranges from $100 to $12,500 per year with a validity ranging from one to four year.
