John Anthony Gilbert Humanities Research Grant

The John Anthony Gilbert (Humanities) Research Grant is awarded to the full time postgraduate research students in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences who are undertaking research in humanities at University of Sydney.

Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines
To be eligible, an applicant:
- Should be a full time postgraduate research student in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences who are undertaking research in humanities at the university.
- Should be enrolled in one of the following research degrees Doctor of Philosophy, Doctor of Arts and Doctor of Social Sciences
- Should have completed at least one year of full-time study in current degree and in the Master of Philosophy 
- Should have completed confirmation of candidature
- Should be applying for funding for primary research that cannot be completed without significant travel outside of Sydney
- Should demonstrate that travel is essential to the completion of your research and that travel is approved as part of your progress plan discussed at your last annual progress review
