The Ceramics area at Marshall is built upon a foundation of understanding traditional materials and processes. At the foundation level, there is a dual focus on both hand-building and wheel throwing, each allowing students to open up to different aspects of these traditional formation processes. Upper division courses are taught in an atmosphere that promotes material exploration and experimentation with process and materials other than clay and glaze.
Completed application for admission, A high school diploma (official transcript with graduation date required), An Overall Grade Point Average of at least 2.00 on a 4.00 scale and a composite score of at least 19 on the ACT or SAT equivalent; OR an Overall Grade Point Average of at least 3.00 on a 4.00 scale and a composite score of at least 16 on the ACT or SAT equivalent, Test scores: Internet-based TOEFL score of 78 or higher, Paper-based TOEFL score of 547 or higher, IELTS score of 6.0 or higher, MELAB - minimum score of 79%.
