The Studio Art curriculum is designed for students to develop the ability to create, analyze, interpret, and evaluate art. Students learn to express their thoughts, feelings, and values in a variety of visual forms. The department strives to stimulate creativity and competency as students broaden their skills and knowledge of materials and technologies. The faculty is committed to the recognition of individuality and unique accomplishment. Professors work closely with each student to encourage personal direction and ideas. Students in the BA art studio concentration take 45 units of major core courses. Emphases include ceramics, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture and works on paper.
Complete a high/secondary school curriculum which totals 12 years of primary-secondary education, and earn a graduation diploma or certificate, 2.0 grade point average (GPA) on the 4.0 grading scale, Official high school transcript (academic record), Test scores: TOEFL ibT of 61, IELTS of 6.0, SAT and ACT scores.
