Our Campus

University Canada West (UCW) is easily accessible in Downtown Vancouver at 626 West Pender Street. Located within Vancouver’s business district, the university is close to many of the world’s biggest company’s offices.

London Building History

Constructed in 1912 as part of Vancouver’s pre-Great War building boom, The London Building is a heritage office building and many of the building’s interior and exterior features have heritage protection. The 106-year-old heritage building provides students with an inspiring environment for learning.

In 2014, University Canada West (UCW) relocated to the historic the London Building at 626 West Pender Street. It currently occupies the first five floors and has recently taken over the sixth floor.

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program from UCW will prepare you for leadership on the global stage. This program is accredited by ACBSP. You will take the most challenging situations in your stride, apply pragmatic solutions to problems you encounter and ultimately drive the success of an organization with your informed decision-making. The program has been expanded to allow you to acquire more specific knowledge and skills by choosing your 3 elective courses from one of the following subject areas: Leadership, Marketing or Finance. The program ends with a major research project designed to showcase your newly learned skills in a real-world setting. Graduates of the MBA program will be able to: respond strategically to business challenges and opportunities, assess ethical implications of business activities, develop, implement and evaluate solutions to business problems, formulate business decisions and systematic analysis that reflects critical thinking, demonstrate effective skills to collaborate with diverse groups of people, lead teams through the resolution of problems and successful completion of projects and tasks, integrate personal values and perspectives into problem-solving and take responsibility for decisions, communicate ideas persuasively (written and oral) as a result of thorough analysis of information and gather, analyze and synthesize information for a business context.

A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university, with a cumulative GPA of 3.00 out of 4.33 scale (or equivalent) or better and Have one of the following: Acceptable score on a Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) that has been written in the last five years. An appropriate Canadian professional designation or equivalent international designation (e.g. CPA, CA, CGA, CMA, CHRP or P.Eng). A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA) or Commerce (BComm) or equivalent. A minimum of two (2) years documented professional or management experience. IELTS - 6.5 or better with a minimum of 6.0 in the writing band, or equivalent (for students whose first language is not English)

The online MBA syllabus is focused on enhancing competencies across areas such as leadership, critical thinking, project planning, and a host of further advanced business disciplines. Each program module is led by an experienced UCW academic, whose role is to encourage discussion and debate, to facilitate active student participation, and to provide guidance and feedback. Those who graduate from this ACBSP-accredited MBA program will find themselves more capable of responding strategically to challenges within the business environment presents. You will learn to take responsibility for important decisions, with the ability to explain yourself and your ideas. Learning what is required of an effective leader, you will become confident in your management skills, as well as your ability to solve business problems.

The Associate of Arts (AA) degree provides you with a broad foundation of knowledge. This 60-credit (20 course) program prepares you for additional post-secondary education or to enter directly into the workforce. The AA degree is accepted for transfer into bachelor degree programs at University Canada West (UCW) and all British Columbia degree-granting institutions provided other admission requirements are met. Graduates of the AA program will develop these skills: Critical thinking and problem solving, Effective written and oral communications, Ability to work collaboratively, Application of theoretical understanding to practice, Research and evaluative skills, Mathematical and scientific reasoning, Analysis, synthesis and integration of knowledge and Advanced reading comprehension

The Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) will provide you with a broad foundation knowledge of contemporary business and its practices. Based in Vancouver, Canada, this ACBSP-accredited degree prepares you for a successful career in business or management, where you will contribute constructively to a global economy. Graduates of the BCom program will: have a comprehensive understanding of contemporary business practices across all areas of business management, know how to conduct business in a multicultural environment, spanning international borders and working cross-culturally, have the ability to use interdisciplinary approaches to solve problems and create new business opportunities and be able to use critical thinking to analyze and interpret information to make informed decisions.

a) Consult with a UCW Recruitment Advisor to choose a program that best meets the applicant’s needs and commit to a start date for the first term at UCW.

b) Ensure all requirements for the program and English language proficiency have been met.

c) Complete the application form.

d) Arrange to have an original, official high school transcript indicating graduation* sent directly from the high school to the UCW Registrar’s Office.

e) Arrange to have official proof of English (if applicable) sent directly to the UCW Registrar’s Office.

*NOTE: Where transcripts are in a language other than English, the applicant must provide an official English translation of the original transcripts from a certified translator or from the university, on official letterhead in addition to original official transcripts.

f) A Letter of Acceptance will only be issued once the application is approved and all required official documentation has been received by the UCW Registrar.
