The Bachelor of Science in Data Science at Purdue University is offered jointly by the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Statistics within the College of Science. Available at both the West Lafayette and Indianapolis campuses, this interdisciplinary program trains students at the nexus of computational science and statistics. It prepares graduates with strong computational, analytical, and quantitative skills essential to extracting insights and making predictions from large and complex datasets.
Students start with foundational coursework closely aligned with computer science majors, then choose to specialize through emphases in computer science, mathematics, or applied statistics.
