The Spanish Department strives to prepare students to participate actively in today s global world, where Spanish is a major language spoken by over 500 million speakers worldwide. Our program is designed to dually meet the needs of students who are learning Spanish as a second language as well as those students who are bilingual heritage learners. The language program fosters communicative, proficiency-oriented learning while also providing students with ample opportunities to better understand the diversity of cultures that make up the Spanish-speaking world.
Secondary/high school diploma, Personal Statement, Letter of Recommendation, Official College Transcripts, Secondary School/High School Transcript, TOEFL iBT 80 (18 minimum subscores), IELTS 6.5 (6.0 minimum subscores) or completion of INTO Academic English Level 6 with no grades below C (language requirement may be waived on an individual basis based on SAT/ACT scores or previous study in English-speaking country), In-country equivalent of 3.0 high school GPA on a 4.0 scale.
