This program is designed for students with diverse learning challenges who require academic accommodations and modifications. Students enhance their academic and vocational knowledge and skills in both core and integrated courses and practice this learning on field placements. Learning Facilitators modify integrated courses to students' specific strengths and abilities, and provide accommodations, tutor and support sessions to ensure the work is challenging and achievable. Students prepare for success in entry-level work, and build independence and self-advocacy skills for adult life.
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)/Certificate (OSSC), or be at least 19 years of age on the first day of classes, Demonstrate academic needs which require curriculum modification, accommodation, and Learning Facilitator support in order to succeed, Demonstrate a level of independence that does not require constant supervision, Applicants must have either a postsecondary diploma or degree, in a relevant field or discipline, College or university transcripts with proof of graduation, subjects taken, and grades received, Resum outlining work/volunteer/internship experiences, Letter of intent stating reason for applying, Test scores: TOEFL iBT of 89, IELTS of 6.5, CAEL of 60.
Graduates of the program may find a variety of entry-level jobs. Students may choose to apply to other college programs after completing the program provided admission requirements are met. All other college programs are completed without modification or Learning Facilitator support.
