College diploma early childhood education in Conestoga college

This two-year diploma program prepares students for professional practice in the field of early learning and child care. Through interactive classroom learning and integrative field placement experiences, students will develop skills that will enable them to work in collaboration with families, colleagues and communities for the purpose of designing, implementing and evaluating inclusive play-based early learning programs.

Graduates of this program meet the academic requirements for registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators of Ontario qualifying them for employment as Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECEs) in licensed child care settings and other community programs serving young children and families and as Designated Early Childhood Educators (DECEs) in full-day kindergarten classrooms in Ontario.
