Student safety is a top concern of parents, and something that RIT takes seriously. While RIT is seen as a very safe campus, the campus community needs to remain aware of safety concerns and available resources.

Q. What is the Good Safety Score of RIT ?

RIT is located on a 1,300-acre campus in suburban Rochester with plenty of open space for leisure and recreation. Our campus is a safe, secure residential campus that has blue-light emergency notification kiosks throughout the campus, a well-staffed police department, student health center and our own ambulance service. The urban and suburban areas also offer safe and secure living communities for those students who choose to live off campus.

 The majority of the students have experienced Rochester as a safe place to be.
