The John Richards Yarrawonga and District Undergraduate Scholarship is offered by the La Trobe University to Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents, or Permanent Humanitarian Visa Holders who intend to study an undergraduate program at university’s Albury-Wodonga campus. The scholarship are is funded by Frederick John Richards, inaugural President of Yarrawonga District Health Service Board, who has been sponsoring agriculture students in the past and now wishes to fund new undergraduates at the university’s Albury-Wodonga campus.
Eligibility Criteria/Scholarship Guidelines
To be eligible, an applicant-
- Should be 30 years or younger and live within a radius of 25 kilometers of Yarrawonga.
-Should not receive any other scholarship. The preference is given to the applicant who intends to continue to live in the local community.
- Should submit an annual report to the donor outlining the community activities and study results.

An applicant can apply for the scholarship by submitting the form outlining the applicant’s personal statement, reasons to choose La Trobe, career aspirations, and any experience in community involvement and volunteering.
