Using Advanced Artificial Intelligence for Competitive Advantage - Industry Ph.D. Scholarship is offered by La Trobe University to local and international graduate research students intending to conduct research related to the field and contribute to research and development in Machine Learning. The scholarship is jointly offered by the university and its prominent industry partner.
Eligibility Criteria/Scholarship Guidelines
To be eligible, an applicant:
• Should demonstrate high academic record and proficiency in conducting research in the field of Computer Science or Engineering.
• Should be available at the partner head office for 3 days and at the university’s Centre for Data Analytics and Cognition for 2 days at Melbourne.
• Should have completed either a Masters Research Degree with research standard of 75 or Honors Degree, or Masters by Coursework, or ungraded Research Master’s Degree with an average score of 70 in the last 10 years.
In the above mentioned degrees, the applicant must have conducted a research and completed a thesis of 15000 to 20000 words, or should have been a lead author in a peer-reviewed publication, or should have included 3/8 research component in 1 year of research standard of 75 and or above.
How to apply
If the applicant meets the eligibility criteria, the scholarship can be availed by submitting an application for scholarship and PhD Candidature under the supervision of Associate Professor Kok-Leong Ong.
The applicant will have to attend an interview with university representatives and CDAC’s industry partners.
