The Blavin Scholars Fund was established in 2006 by Paul and Amy Blavin to provide assistance to undergraduate Michigan students who have experienced time in foster care.
Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines
Students who are Michigan residents seeking an undergraduate degree.
Students who have demonstrated financial need and experience in foster care are eligible for this scholarship.
Full-time enrollment is required.
Note: Priority consideration is given to those who experienced time in foster care after the age of 13. The current age does not disqualify you from consideration.
Value
The number of scholarships awarded varies annually. Up to $5,000 per year, renewable for up to five years of undergraduate study
Deadline
Scholarship applications are accepted on a rolling basis. The University of Michigan’s Office of Financial Aid must receive your scholarship application and your FAFSA record from the federal processor to consider you for this scholarship.
