University of Michigan Faculty and Staff Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide funds to University of Michigan-Ann Arbor undergraduates with financial need who have at least one parent who is a University of Michigan-Ann Arbor faculty or staff member with at least a 50 percent appointment. Funding for this program is from prior balances in the University’s prepaid medical and dependent care reimbursement accounts.

Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines

Any undergraduate student may apply if he or she is enrolled at the U-M Ann Arbor campus and is a child of a U-M Ann Arbor faculty or staff member with at least a 50 percent appointment.

To be considered for this scholarship, the student must demonstrate financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid (OFA), based on information submitted when the student applies for aid.

Value
The dollar amount of the scholarship varies, depending on the annual income from the endowment fund.

Validity
Scholarships are for one year, but students may reapply each year.
