This Scholarship was established in 2017 on the 75th anniversary of the Battle of the Coral Sea, the American Australian Association aids the American-Australian Veterans’ Scholarship Fund to honor and thank military veterans for their valiant service through the provision of educational opportunities which help develop and build new skills.
Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines
To be applicable for the USA to Australia Veteran Scholarship:
A student must be an American citizen or permanent resident (dual Australian citizens/permanent residents are not eligible);
Honorably discharged post 9/11 US military veteran;
Accepted, enrolled or actively seeking acceptance into UQ for full-time study or research.
Demonstrate a financial need for the award.
A student must have a prior educational grade average of credit or above.
The course must lead towards the grant of a certificate or degree.

This scholarship grants $40,000 USD.
